Where is Pharr Rushing Purifoy?
Letter from John Purifoy - This is an interesting letter from John Purifoy to one of his cousins. He talks about walking home from Appomattox after the South surrendered to end the Civil War. In this letter, he also makes mention of Uncle Marshall. This is the Henry Marshall that much of our family record goes back to. His headstone is one of the ones we show a picture of in the Purifoy Cemetery.
